[image: image.png] “Let’s be clear: One of the nation’s most prominent Democrats, who apparently is also a crook, has been indicted by prosecutors working for a Democratic president, on the eve of a life-or-death election Can anyone imagine a Trump MAGA AG doing this?” Will Bunch part one:Houston Chronicle reporter Jeremy Wallace has covered politics and campaigns for more than 20 years Ted Cruz Is Again Fighting for Political Survival in TexasThe fiery senator, who was nearly unseated in 2018, has been trying to rebrand himself in a close race against a Democratic congressman and former N.F.L. player, Colin Allred. Part two: *Bill Curry *was a Connecticut state senator, comptroller and two time Democratic nominee for governor who served as Counselor to the President in the Clinton White House. He has written for Salon, the Daily Beast, the Huffington Post and the Hartford Courant and has provided commentary on National Public Radio, MSNBC and many other news outlets. *Robert Hockett * is an American lawyer, law professor and policy advocate. He holds two positions at Cornell University topics: Curry post on Facebook: *Below is something I posted on FB last night. Agree with Robert about Stoller. It was hard yesterday being reminded of how firmly she stands in the neoliberal camp. Her devotion to the Clintons is unnerving. My fear for November pertains to how stunningly her economic policies resemble, make that replicate, Hillary’s. But because this is still the clearest choice we’ve ever had to make we have to be mindful of tone, and because progressives are unlikely to take the oath of omerta they swore in the Obama years, I believe we can begin to pressure her the moment the polls close, and that public opinion will be mostly on our side. So to Matt Stoller I say buck up buttercup, and first things first.* *New York City Mayor Eric Adams was indicted today. If it hastens his resignation it’s good news for New Yorkers. It’s also another in a long line of high profile criminal indictments of Democrats by the Biden Justice Department. Besides Adams, there’s Brian Benjamin, the former Lieutenant Governor of New York; Linda Sun, a top aide to Benjamin’s old boss, New York Governor Kathy Hochul; Senator Robert Menendez, the pride of New Jersey, and of course, Hunter Biden, the all too entitled, now broken son of the President. * *Still, MAGA zealots whine that Biden has ‘weaponized’ the Justice Department. The charge rests entirely on prosecutions of vandals who sacked the capitol and on two prosecutions of Donald Trump. * *The Trump cases are airtight. His crimes lie so far outside any sane person’s definition of presidential duties that even after his Supreme Court conjured up ‘presidential immunity’, his only shot at avoiding prison is to win in November and pardon himself in January. Republicans can’t bear to view these facts and instead spin dark fantasies defaming the public servants who bring the cases. * *Trump pardoned the likes of Roger Stone and Paull Manafort and no fewer than four corrupt Republican congressmen. Menendez and Biden– and Benjamin and Adams, if convicted– will see the insides of jail cells. Kathy Hochul’s career is in tatters. The evidence shows beyond a shadow of a doubt: Donald Trump’s as guilty as sin and Joe Biden’s Justice Department, far from being ‘weaponized’, has been scrupulously nonpartisan. It’s an achievement of which Biden, and every citizen, can be proud.*
