[image: image.png] a comment from one of my listeners on my Facebook page…Watching his show on attention deficit disorder, made me realize that my child’s behavior, and impulsiveness was due to ADD. Not that we were bad parents. The presenter was going down a checklist of about 12 symptoms to look for and my child had 10. I immediately contacted my pediatrician who considered it a possibility. He started running tests, and evaluations at the children’s hospital. The diagnosis turned out to be ADD-HD. He was treated, and along with a lot of hard work with everyone involved and we got through it. He was in kindergarten when this whole process started, I’m still shaking at the thought of what might have happened if he were diagnosed much later or not at all. The teen years were rough, he is now a grown man with children of his own. He recognized the symptoms in one of his children and with support of his pediatrician, IEP services in school, and dad’s ability to help him get through the rough spots, he is doing very well. THANKS PHIL!!! and a quote from Senator Warnock from Monday night’s DNC convention:
“I need my neighbor’s children to be OK so that my children will be OK,” said Warnock, a Baptist minister. “I need all of my neighbor’s children to be OK, poor inner city children in Atlanta and poor children of Appalachia, I need the poor children of Israel and the poor children of Gaza, I need Israelis and Palestinians, I need those in the Congo, those in Haiti, those in Ukraine, I need American children on both sides of the track to be OK. Because we are all God’s children. And so let’s stand together. Let’s work together. Let’s organize together. Let’s pray together. Let’s stand together. Let’s heal the land.” and I can’t leave Warnock without including this…Dartmouth Professor Jeff Sharlet A vote is a kind of prayer, and our prayers are stronger when we pray together. — Warnock. That’s the line I’ve been waiting for, and I’m a godless Jew.
