The second installment of live performances. The show starts with the Steve Kimock Band recorded live in Texas. Next is a mighty soulful version of The Weight by the Band featuring the Staples Singers, recorded live for the The Last Waltz. Next is Traffic’s 40,000 Headmen recorded in 1970. The second segment kicks off with Vinyl, a great Bay Area funk-soul-latin-groove band, with Moonshine Heather recorded at the Great American Music Hall in 2002. Next is Howard Wales and friends (with Jerry Garcia) recorded live in Boston at Symphony Hall in 1972. Finally the show ends wilth the ultimate live funk track by TOP, better known as Tower Of Power, from the album Live and In Living Color, “Knock Yourself Out,” featuring amazing solo leads by Lenny Picket and Chester Thompson. Keep it live and stay Funky ya’ll.
