State House Watch went into physical distancing mode this week, with all interviews conducted remotely. Arnie spoke with Representative Casey Conley about legislating in a time of pandemic, with Devon Chaffee of ACLU-NH about their call for release of many prisoners and other matters affecting civil liberties, and with Jeanie Holt about the role of public health nurses in normal times and times of crisis. Maggie and Arnie also talked about a recent call for a suspension of immigration enforcement actions and the release of most immigrant detainees. Songs about the transportation and communications infrastructure came from Taj Mahal, Chuck Berry, and the Grateful Dead. And South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir reminded us to wash our hands.
