Part 1
Guest: Jeremy Stahl, Senior Editor at Slate.com.
We have a discussion of the questioning of Louis DeJoy, Postmaster, regarding the recent changes taking place at the Postal Service. We explore his connection to Trump (heavy contributor), his conflicts of interest, and his general ignorance of the operations of the Postal Service. We also note that many questioners seem to have made the testimony an opportunity for grandstanding rather than true elicitation of DeJoy’s activities, motives, and plans for the future, particularly in light of the pandemic’s effect on the election.

Part 2
Guest: Khyati Joshi, Professor of Education at Farleigh Dickinson University, and author of White Christian Priviledge.
We discuss how the idea of White Christianity has become the de facto standard for “ true” democracy. It is important to remember that while the US has more places of worship than any country in the world, that this does not mean that all religious traditions are treated equally. Morality and standards appear to be defined by the white protestant criteria. There is a definite difference between religious diversity and religious freedom. Our discussion covers how this affects laws, policy, and everyday life in the United States.
