Part One: Dave Jamieson writes about labor for Huffington Post. He speaks with us about two of his recent stories. Republicans in Congress decided to have a hasty hearing about the minimum wage (first time in at least a decade) and how that turned into a debacle by not vetting one of their economists; Joe Sabia, who turns out to be even more objectionable than we thought. His other piece is about Ohio Senator (and possible presidential candidate) Sherrod Brown’s mission to restore tip jars to airport bars.
Part Two: We speak with NH demographer Ken Johnson of the Carsey Institute at UNH about their recent report that shows younger people may be moving to NH. We know NH is aging, but for decades young people have been fleeing the state. This report suggests that we may be able to be cautiously optimistic about young folks coming to live in our state.
