Part One:  Our weekly update from the Lone Star State with Scott Braddock of the Quorum Report. Topics include: Julian Castro is running for president (to no one’s surprise), Beto, Beto’s tour and the decisions he needs to make, Empower Texans, Governor Abbot, education funding, the wall – and more.

Part Two: Dr. David Wright is the Co-Director of the Global Security Program. He’s an internationally known expert on the technical aspects of nuclear weapons policy, missile defense systems, proliferation, and space weapons. Dr. Wright joins us to talk about the need (imperative) for the US to reform nuclear weapons policy. He’s joined by former State Rep. Mindi Messmer who tells us about some pending bills at the NH legislature relating to nuclear weapons policy.

We talk about global security, US missiles kept on hair trigger alert (a Cold War relic) the plan to upgrade nuclear weapons systems, and get some good ideas on the kinds of questions to ask presidential candidates.
