We speak with Bob Hennelly, a writer with Salon.com, about his aritlce “America’s Deadly Wealth Pyramid” and the Eric Gardner story, how undocumented immigrants have moved into NYC neighborhoods and brought stability to formerly violent areas and that the murder rate is now at an all time low.
Part Two:
We talk with Daniel Block, the editor of the Washington Monthly about how a U.S. economic alliance would advance doemstic progressive policies in labor, environmental standards, and raising salaries. He states that the U.S. would have to raise standards to meet European levels, which is the opposite of what historically is the opposite of where the U.S. stood in trade agreements such as NAFTA.
