We had some technical issues this week. The great thing about LPFM is not being beholden to advertisers. The not so great thing is old equipment. In any case, we are repeating a couple of interviews from March and April.
Part One: “Langston Hughes Hidden Influence on MLK” is the title of a piece we saw at theconversation. com. Arnie speaks with the author, Dr. Jason Miller of North Carolina State U. Dr. King so often spoke in poetry, and Dr. Miller helps us understand why.
Part Two: “We’re All Fast Food Workers Now,” is the title of a book by Dartmouth History Professor Annelise Orleck. It’s an urgent look at globalization, and the workers fighting for respect, safety, and a living wage.
