Today’s Socialists concentrate on equality, strict regulation of capitalism, and use the Scandinavian model of Socialism. This means that they are not excluding capitalism, but, instead, want to include cooperating with capitalism as part of the whole picture. “Ikea Socialism” is more the idea that new Socialists have adopted. Unlike the Socialism of their grandparents, new Socialists see nuances. They want to gain a more populist approach, and an organized effort of striving to reduce the economic inequality in the world.

We discuss the rise of militias in the age of Trump. Since about 40% of the voters are trumpists, they nominally approve of the militias, as he does. In 2019, questions about membership in white upremacist organizations were eliminated for disqalification in the armed forces were eliminated. This would seem to indicate that there are members of the armed forces who may be militia members as well. There are many connections. These militias make distinctions between state governments and the federal government, and deem the federal government as their enemy.
