Our special guest host is Arnie Alpert of the American Friends Service Committee NH Program. Arnie has been a leader in movements for social and economic justice for decades. Arnie is the co-host of State House Watch, a weekly radio program that airs when the NH legislature is in session.
Part One: Louise Spencer from the Kent St. Coalition joins us with a report on the Kavanaugh protests, where she was part of the “mob.” Joanne Sheehan, staff member of the War Resisters League also joins us to talk about protest, civil disobedience, nonviolence, and training. Joanne is the author of a handbook for nonviolent campaigns.
Part Two: Natalia Baez and John Lindsay-Poland Skype in to discuss the report they co-authored, “Gross Human Rights Abuses: The Legal and Illegal Gun Trade to Mexico. We discuss the war on drugs, the flow of guns from the US to Mexico, and the new President of Mexico, Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador, known as “Amlo.”
